Craig's first experience on the stage was aged 10, dressed as a St Trinian's schoolgirl in the Basingstoke Gang Show! He then spent the next 15 years resting, before being persuaded to be a cowboy in Debut Theatre Company's production of 'Calamity Jane'. Then followed a brief departure from musical theatre to play John Arscott & Watkin Tench in 'Our Country's Good', and Mr Wickham in 'Pride And Prejudice'. His first lead was with Debut Theatre Company when he took the Tom Hanks role of Josh Baskin in 'BIG: The Musical', where he had to "act" as a thirteen year old boy pretending to be a thirty year old man! Following a stint as a cowboy in 'Oklahoma', he went on to play Frank in the premiere of 'Silver's Ghost' at Guildford's Electric Theatre, The Dame in 'Robin Hood and His Merrie Men', various characters of questionable morality in 'Personals', and most recently Cinderella's Prince in Ghosts production of 'Into The Woods'. It was this association with Ghosts that Craig first discovered 'Saucy Jacks', led astray by several reprobates and undesirables: AKA the cast, crew and production team on ITW! From a nervous Vixens virgin to clammy plastic happiness in 9 months... |
